Gaming Tablet
Gaming on the go. Gaming convenience.
I like my Nintendo Switch for its form factor, and making gaming more "casual", but it doesn't have all the games I want to play.
- Form factor of Nintendo Switch (with controllers by the side)
- Plays Windows/Steam games
- I want to "Pick up and Play"
- Play from the coach/bed
- Quick success or failure
- Some sort of satisfaction within 15 minutes that makes me feel like I have progress, or am progressing
Options:
- Pros:
- Full Windows Support
- Android Tablet, with Shell for JoyCons
- VNC into a Windows PC
- Cons:
- No support in Malaysia
- No official iOS App, they have a Beta though
- Cons:
- Not officially launched
- Apple Arcade
- Cons:
- I want to play old games available on Steam
- PS4 Remote Play
- Works on iPhone / iPad
- Limited to PS4 games
- Steamlink
- Requires:
- Windows Pc
- Android Tablet
- Doesn't work on iPhone / iPad
Games I want to play:
- Old school games, emulator
- Final Fantasy VII
- Final Fantasy VI
- Simple games, for a simpler time
- Nostalgia
Concerns:
- iPad Controllers
- Need an MFI controller
- Steel Series Nimbus $49.95
- 8Bitdo Controllers work
- JoyCons don't natively work on iPads
- I don't have the time or focus to play video games
